National scholarship portal is a platform to help students get all the information about scholarships funded by the Government of India at a single website. It takes care of all the processes involved in scholarship, right from the registration of the student to the submission of the application form.
The minority community students includes Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Buddhist, Jain, and Parsi students as recognised by the government of India.

Post Matric Scholarship in Karnataka
The Post Matric Scholarship is offered jointly by the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Govt. of India and Government of Karnataka to the students of minority communities who have completed their Matric student. These scholarships are on offer for students from class XIth to the ones who are doing PhD.
Eligibility
- Should be a resident of Karnataka
- Should be of a minority community
- Should have scored 50% or more in last final examination and the qualifying examination
- Should not have any backlogs
- Should not be doing any internship of any kind
- Should not have a family income of more than INR 2,00,000 from all the sources
- Should not be doing any short term course, correspondence course, or training
- Can be a domicile of Karnataka but studying in some other state
How to Apply
- Visit the website momascholarship.gov.in and register at the Student Registration of the Post Matric Scholarship section.
- Fill the online application form with the correct details and save it.
- Verify the details added and then finalize and submit the form.
- Using the Preview/Print report, download the seven pages of the completed application form.
- Get the details of the page 5 of the application form from the Head of your Institution.
- Mail the application form along with the documents required to the District Officer Minorities / District Officer Backward Classes & Minorities of your district in an envelope which has Application for ‘Post Matric Scholarship 2015-16’ written on top of it.

- Attested Photocopy of last Semesters Marks sheet or ONLINE Result Print Out.
- Attested Photocopy of Income Certificate issued by the Tahsildar or Original income Affidavit in a non-judicial stamp paper of Rs.20/-.
- Attested Photocopy of the Fee acknowledgement issued by the college for the current year.
- Past one passport size fresh colour photograph on the 1st page of the application.
- Photocopy of first page of Bank Pass Book showing the account no., IFSC code, bank name, branch address etc.,
- For students whose permanent address is located in Dharwad, Mysore And Tumkur Districts, additional – photocopy of Aadhar Card/ Acknowledgement Of EidSelection Process.
Pre-Matric Scholarship in West Bengal
West Bengal Minorities Development & Finance Corporation funds the education of the minority communities’ students studying in classes I to X through the Pre-matric Scholarship.
Eligibility
- Should be a resident of West Bengal
- Should be a student in a recognized educational institute
- Should have secured 50% marks in the last examinations given
- Should not have a family annual income of more than INR 1,00,000.
How to Apply
- Students applying for the first time will apply as fresh.
- Students who have got the scholarship will apply as renewal.
Class I-VIII
- Have to submit the application form offline
- Download the application form from the website wbmdfc.org or obtain it from the BDO office with any charge.
- Submit the filled application form to the respective educational institute.
- The head of the Institute needs to submit the filled application form after verification to the respective DOMA/Minority office through B.D.O.
Class IX-X
- Have to submit the application form online
- Register online on scholarships.gov.in
- Submit the online application form
Application submission starts on: 1st May, 2015
Application submission deadline: 31st July, 2015.
Post-Matric Scholarship in West Bengal
For the deserving students of minority communities who have completed their matric and are studying at either higher secondary, under-graduate, or post graduate level, the West Bengal Minorities Development & Finance Corporation is providing scholarships to help them financially through the Post-matric Scholarship. This scholarship is open to all students who are studying in any recognised school/college/university of India.
Eligibility
- Should be an Indian national
- Should be a domicile of West Bengal
- Should be a student in a recognized educational institute
- Should have secured 50% marks in the last examinations given
- Should not have a family annual income of more than INR 2,00,000.
How to Apply
- Students applying for the first time will apply as fresh.
- Students who have got the scholarship will apply as renewal.
- Register and apply online on scholarships.gov.in
- 30% of the scholarship is reserved for the girls
- Application submission date is from 01st June to 15th September, 2015 for fresh students and from 01st June to 10th October, 2015 for renewal students.
- Scrutiny of online applications by the institute will be done from 01st June to 05th October, 2015 for fresh candidates and from 01st June to 31st October, 2015 for renewal candidates.
- Scrutiny of online applications by the state or UT administration will be done from 01st July to 15th October, 2015 for fresh candidates and from 01st July to 08th November, 2015 for renewal candidates.

Post Matric Scholarship for Minority Students 2015-16 Fresh & Renewal Online Application
The Ministry of Minority Affairs of the the Government of India has invited applications from the students belonging to the minority communities of India for the Post Matric Scholarship for Minority Students 2015-16 in order to promote higher education among them . Students in any part of India are applicable for this scholarship, provided they fulfil the other criteria.

Fresh
- Register as a New User through the Student Login of the National Scholarship Portal.
- Fill up the application form and then submit it.
- Note down the permanent ID generated for future references.
Renewal
- Login to the National Scholarship Portal through the permanent ID of the last year.
- Submit the required documents.
