Goa Education Trust Scholarships 2016
Formed in 2009 by the Dempo and the Femento group in collaboration with the British Council, the Goa Education Trust. It was started in order to provide the students of Goa the opportunity to do their postgraduate study in UK. This scholarship was opened to all the Indian students in 2009 and now anyone can apply to get their postgrad studies funded.
Eligibility criteria includes:
- Should be an Indian national with a valid Indian passport.
- Should be in India at the time of application.
- Should not be more than 30 years of age at the time of application.
- Should have an excellent record in academics and in extra-curricular activities.
- Should have chosen a suitable Masters programme in the UK beginning in September/ October .2016 (Proof of admission / application is required at the time of the interview).
Value of scholarship: It will cover part or full tuition fees of a Masters in UK, not exceeding GBP 15000.
Application Process:
- Download and fill out the application form from the website in Word format. And add an image of your photograph in the application form.
- Scan and attach the following documents which are to be mailed along with the filled application form:
- Birth certificate.
- Passport copy.
- Copy of the conditional/ unconditional admission letter from the UK institution (if already received)
- Academic reference letter.
- Mail the application form and the relevant document in one mail, not exceeding 10MB, on [email protected].
- The hard copy of the application can also be sent to their official address.
- Applications which are incomplete or do not have all the documents attached will be rejected.

Saltire Scholarships 2016:
Scotland’s Saltire Scholarship is a scholarship programme, funded by the Scottish Government and Scottish Higher Education Institutions. It offers up to 100 awards, each of £4000 for one any one year of full time study to students who are interested in pursuing an Undergraduate, Masters or PhD course from any institute of higher education in Scotland.
Targeted to promote Scotland’s higher education institutes, the scholarships are offered in the disciplines of creative industries, life sciences, technology, and financial services and renewable and clean energy to the students of India, Pakistan, China, Canada and USA.
Eligibility criteria includes:
- Should be an Indian national with a valid Indian passport.
- Should have a conditional or unconditional offer of a place at a Scottish university on an eligible course.
Value of scholarship: It will cover part or full tuition fees of one year of an Undergraduate, Masters or PhD in Scotland, not exceeding £4000.

The OFID Scholarship Program:
The OFID Scholarship Program which is funded by OPEC Fund for International Development targets to provide intelligent, ambitious students. With the financial resources to help them in completing their Master’s degree in a discipline of their choice.
Eligibility criteria includes:
- Should be from a developing country (OFID member countries).
- Should obtain admission in a Master’s course in a relevant field of development in a recognized college/university of the world.
Value of scholarship: It will cover part or full tuition fees of a Masters, not exceeding US$50,000.

The Oxford and Cambridge Society of India Scholarships 2016:
The Oxford and Cambridge Society of India is offering three scholarships to Indian students. Those who are interested in completing their Master’s from either this University or the University of Oxford in UK but are weighed down by the finances of this.
Eligibility criteria includes:
- Should be an Indian national with a valid Indian passport.
- Should be in an ordinary resident of India.
- Should not be more than 30 years of age on 1 Sept, 2016.
- Should be a graduate of an Indian school, college or university.
- Would be preferred if late schooling was completed in India.
- Should have secured admission to a Master’s programme in the University of Oxford or to the University of Cambridge
